CORK ALUMINUM PANEL

DDL product consisting of façade cladding panels of painted aluminum with cork insulation.

CAP

The traditional construction of façades and roofs implies the use of several layers of different materials that are put into work.

CAP is a constructive solution that offers a single product, prefabricated, applicable directly on masonry or as a ventilated façade. It is a product ready to install on site, allowing installation quickly and effectively.

They reduce the environmental impact of constructions with a personalized panel design that eliminates waste on site, and allows the configuration of ventilated facades with great benefits in terms of thermal insulation, protection against fire and finishes.

THERMAL INSULATION

The panels feature cork as an insulating material and have a high thermal insulation capacity, which allows energy consumption reduction.

SOLAR REFLECTION

DDL's CAP façade panels reveal high reflectivity and keep the façade surface at a lower temperature. This reduces the transfer of heat into the building.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The high performance of thermally insulated panels contributes to greater savings in energy consumption.

CHIMNEY EFFECT

A ventilated façade allows air to pass between the layers that make it up, for example, expelling hot air outside in the summer. This allows for greater energy savings and eliminates moisture.

REDUCTION OF  CO2 EMISSIONS

CAP panels from DDL by presenting cork as an insulating material contribute to the absorption of CO2.

QUICK INSTALLATION

CAP panels allow quick installation on site, significantly reducing execution time.

PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE

Cork has remarkable chemical and biological stability and good fire resistance. Regarding fire behavior, tests carried out according to an American federal standard (SS-A-118b) gave, for expanded agglomerates with nominal thicknesses of 50 and 76 mm, results as non-combustible or delayed combustion material (Fernandez, 1974; Pinto , 1988). The flame produces a superficial carbonization that gives rise to a virtually non-combustible layer.
